Kaleidoscope Coffee Company: A Colorful Cast of Characters and a Little White Witchcraft in Redding, California
A vibrant, ever-shifting mosaic of local color, colorful characters, and seasonal flavors. A little slice of Redding where the coffee is good, the conversation comes naturally, and even the dogs have opinions about the clientele. Located at 2380 Athens Avenue, Kaleidoscope is a warm and welcoming little hut of whimsy and espresso, open seven days a week. Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays until 3 p.m. Upon arriving, I immediately appreciated the ample, shaded outdoor seating. A good sign. There's something particularly satisfying about enjoying a cup of coffee outdoors in Northern California, watching the world go about its business while you temporarily excuse yourself from participating in it. Opening the door, I was greeted by a bright, tasteful explosion of color.
